Principal's Message

 

Dear Prospective and Current Families,

I am delighted to welcome you to Valley Charter Elementary School (VCES).  Since 2010, we have proudly been a high performing public charter school serving a diverse group of families in the San Fernando Valley.  

A VCES education is engaging, purposeful, and hands-on.  Students participate in project-based learning and they work together to solve challenges that help them discover information.  Through group projects, conversations, and simulations, students learn real-life skills such as understanding others’ perspectives and communicating ideas.  Critical thinking and conceptual understanding are key components of each aspect of our curriculum.  

Our VCES teachers are a group of incredibly talented educators.  They collaborate with each other to develop a rigorous standards-based curriculum, to support students, and to grow as professionals.  The engaging curriculum they design meets the needs of each individual student.  

Our school is strong because of the community of people that comprise it.  Our staff, our teachers, and our families work together to create a dynamic environment where students can thrive.  We are happy to have you as part of this community.
