Universal Lunch Program: 24-25 School Year at Valley Charter Schools
VCS offers free breakfast and lunch to all students, regardless of income, with no need for parents to place orders. Meals are provided daily upon request. As part of the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) federal program, schools collect household income information through the Alternative Income Form instead of lunch applications.
Our goal is 100% participation. Completing your lunch application opens the doors to various scholarships (ex. ELOP & Jaxx for VCES), S-EBT, and CalKIDS. WE URGE YOU TO COMPLETE AN INCOME FORM, as it is vital for securing essential funding through the Local Control Funding Formula.
Two ways to apply:
- Online: Visit www.mymealtime.com/apps to submit your electronic lunch application online. When prompted, enter the VCS school code: VCES school ID 2165; VCMS school ID 5185.
- Paper: If you prefer a paper application, you can request one from the school office. Applications are available in English and Spanish.
If you have any questions regarding the lunch application or income form, please contact Carolina Merino, VCS director of operations at 818-810-6713.

Medical Statement- Accommodations for students with special needs
If texture modification is needed due to a disability, the parent can contact the school and request a special meal by filling out the Medical Statement to Request Special Meals and/or Accommodations form that can also be found on the website. The accommodation request form must be supported by a medical statement signed by a state-licensed healthcare professional (i.e, licensed physicians, physical assistants, or nurse practitioners). A child with a disability is entitled to a special meal at no extra charge if the disability prevents the child from eating the regular meal. Our food provider offers vegetarian, dairy-free, and gluten-free options.
