Welcome to Valley Charter Middle School!
Dear Prospective and Current Families,
I am delighted to welcome you to Valley Middle School (VCMS). Since 2011, we have proudly been a serving a diverse group of families in the San Fernando Valley.
Valley Charter Middle School is a special place to teach, learn, and grow. We are founded on the
constructivist philosophy of education, which believes that students learn best when they build on their prior knowledge and experiences to create new connections. We pair this philosophy with project-based learning, which allows students to truly demonstrate their mastery of standards concepts through real-world application. Our school is a collaborative place, where students are expected to work with peers, where teachers are given time to plan with colleagues, and where administrators work as a team with other school stakeholders to develop the best possible educational program for our students. I feel fortunate to be a part of this remarkable community.
