  • What are the dates for the Laps 4 Learning fundraising campaign?

    • The fundraising campaign runs from April 11 to May 2, 2024.
  • What is the fundraising goal for this year's Laps 4 Learning jogathon?

    • The goal is to raise $75,000 with 100% student participation, and we suggest a donation of $250 per student.
  • Why are we raising money?

    • Funds raised will go towards classroom beautification, including paint and much-needed repairs, to ensure that VCES continues to be a beautiful place for our students to learn.
  • How can I make a donation?

    • Donations can be made through personalized fundraising pages linked to each student.  More information about this will be emailed to parents on April 11th. Parents and students can also collect cash and checks using collection envelopes that will be sent home with students on April 11th.
  • What are the incentives for participating in the fundraiser?

    • Incentives include:
      • A prize for each student who reaches $250 in fundraising plus entry into a raffle for Principal for a Day, Office Manager for a Day, Coach for a Day, Music Teacher for a Day
      • Race participation prize
      • Grand prizes for top fundraisers
      • Prizes for classes with 100% fundraising participation ($10 or more per student).

  • How are fundraising contributions tracked and acknowledged?

    • Online donations made through students' personalized fundraising pages are tracked on the Laps 4 Learning donation site. Cash and check donations will be manually added to the tracking system within 2-3 days of submission to the school office.
  • Can I volunteer on race day?

    • Yes, we need volunteers for various tasks on race day! Please sign up to help with event setup, managing water tables, or assisting in the classrooms.
  • Are donations tax-deductible?

    • Yes, all donations are tax-deductible. Receipts for online donations will be automatically generated through the donation site.  Receipts for cash/check donations will be generated upon request.  Email Rebecca Avery ([email protected]) if you wish to receive a receipt for cash/check donations. 
  • How can I stay updated on the fundraising progress?

    • Fundraising progress will be displayed on banners (updated regularly throughout the campaign) at school gates and on the fundraising website.
