Distance Learning Program
During school closures, VCS has designed a robust distance learning program that aligns with California Department of Education requirements and keeps the spirit of learning at Valley Charter alive!
Valley Charter Elementary School
- Daily live instruction with the entire class to build community
- Targeted small group instruction 3-5 times a week (depending on grade level and student)
- Student work assigned and feedback delivered through the See Saw learning program
- Reading Intervention and required services for students with IEPs or English learners
- Office hours for individual support
- Community events such as virtual assemblies, talent shows, Imagination Day, Generations Day and more
Valley Charter Middle School
- Daily live instruction that includes two meetings a week in each core class (ELA, Math, History, and Science)
- Live Zoom Advisory twice a week to foster connections
- Weekly office hours to support students in a small group or 1:1
- Student work assigned and feedback delivered through Google Classroom
- Reading intervention and required services for students with IEPs or English learners
- Community events such as community meeting, virtual assembles, talent shows, and more
