Welcome to Valley Charter Middle School!
Dear Prospective and Current Families,
I am delighted to welcome you to Valley Charter Middle School (VCMS). Since 2011, we have proudly served a diverse group of families in the San Fernando Valley.
Valley Charter Middle School is a special place to teach, learn, and grow. Rooted in the constructivist philosophy of education, we believe students learn best by building on their prior knowledge and experiences to form new connections. 
We pair this philosophy with project-based learning, which allows students to truly demonstrate their mastery of standards concepts through real-world application. Our school is a collaborative place, where students are expected to work with peers, teachers are given time to plan with colleagues, and administrators work as a team with other school stakeholders to develop the best possible educational program for our students. I feel fortunate to be a part of this remarkable community.
