Location: 6952 Van Nuys Blvd. (6th/7th grade campus)

What to expect: The VCMS Familly Picnic is a very special event for all students, parents and staff.  This will be our first picnic since 2019 and we are thrilled to welcome our whole school community onto campus for an outdoor picnic on the field at 6952 Van Nuys Blvd.  While at the event students will receive their advisory class information and parents will have a change to visit school-based sponsored tables and parent engagement tables.  In addition, all staff will be formally introduced as we kick off the 2022-23 school year.  This is a wonderful opportunity for students, parents and staff to catch up and mingle with one another.  Join us for this incredible event as we bring our school community back together and embark in an extraordinary school year ahead.

Logistics and parking: when coming onto campus for orientation and family picnic, parking will be available onsite for a limited number of cars (35-45); parking will also be available at the YMCA located at 6901 Lennox Ave. Families are encouraged to carpool and to use street parking within walking distance, as the VCMS parking lot and the YMCA may fill up quickly.  Staff members will be available at the front gate on Van Nuys Blvd. for questions or directions.
