April 16th: Fundraising launch day and first pep rally!
- All parents are invited to the pep rally from 8:05-8:25 am in the sanctuary.
- Students can show their school spirit and wear their grade level color t-shirts (see below for list of grade level colors).
- Please note: Students do not need to wear a VCES shirt, they can wear any shirt in their grade level color.

- 25% student fundraising participation = silly string attack at lunch recess with Ms. Nava, Mrs. Aronchick, Ms. Nakano, Ms. Davenport, Mrs. Schauer, Mrs. Teague, Ms. Raunsbak, Ms. Jones, Mrs. Bautista and Ms. Brink!
April 23rd: 2nd pep rally and two weeks left to fundraise!

April 30th: 3rd pep rally and one week left to fundraise!

May 7th: Race day!
RACE DAY INFORMATION
- Race day festivities begin around 7:45am on Thursday, May 7th on the VCES big yard.
- If you plan to attend the event, please leave enough time to find parking. The parking lot will be busy and full that morning. Parents should NOT double and triple park in the parking lot.
- Students can show their school spirit and wear their grade level color t-shirts (see below for list of grade level colors).

- After dropping students off on the basketball court, parents are invited to get coffee and breakfast snacks at the hospitality tables and visit the sponsor tables before the race.
- Please visit our generous sponsors on race day! These local businesses and organizations are important supporters of VCES each year. Show them your appreciation by visiting sponsor tables, websites and places of business.
- Siblings and other family members (like grandparents) are welcome on race day! If siblings would like their own race bibs, sponsors will have extras at their tables. Parents can ask for a sibling bib at any sponsor table.
- If you have signed up to volunteer to pin bibs on students in classrooms, please go to the classroom you signed up for by 8:05.
- The race warm ups will begin at approximately 8:30am. Students will begin racing around 8:40 and finish by 9:00.
- We need parent volunteers to make this event a success, especially with hospitality donations! Learn more about volunteering at the Laps 4 Learning jogathon.
