How It Works

Laps 4 Learning is a student-led fundraiser. We ask each student to raise $250 or more by collecting donations from friends, family and neighbors.

Collecting Donations

Cash & Check Donations

On April 16th, students will receive a collection envelope with a tracking sheet to collect cash and check donations.  Encourage your student to ask friends, family and neighbors for Laps 4 Learning donations to reach the $250 goal. Students can turn in these envelopes with their cash and check donations to the school office on or before May 7th. If you lose this envelope, visit the school office for a new one.

Online Donations

Each VCES student has a unique fundraising link on our online donations website. Share your unique link with friends and family via email or social media so they can donate online, and encourage your student to make a short video to send along with it!

Parents will receive this link and login information in an email on April 16th.

Tracking Your Progress

All donations will be tracked on the L4L online donations website (cash and check donations will be entered as they are turned into the office), and each student’s donations will be tracked on their individual donation page. Check in on this page to see where we are in our fundraising, or check the banners at school gates for updates.

Fundraising Tips

What to say when asking for donations (or making a video!):

"Help us make Valley Charter Elementary School an even better place to learn by supporting the 2026 Laps 4 Learning campaign! Your donation will fund campus beautification!"

Include your personal goal ($250+), the school's goals ($75,000 and 100% participation), and how to donate — cash, check, or online using your unique fundraising link. Parents will receive their child's link by email on April 16. Questions? Contact Rebecca Avery at [email protected].

Do the math and be strategic!

You don't need one big donation to hit your goal. Small amounts add up fast:

      • 10 $25 donations = $250
      • 5 $50 donations = $250
      • 20 $25 donations = $500
      • 10 $50 donations = $500
      • 10 $100 donations = $1000
      • Challenge yourself to raise the most in your class!
