2023 AGC Talent Show Student MC/Commercial Actor Job Description and Responsibilities:

1. The 2023 VCS AGC Talent show is scheduled to be held on December 8th from 6-8pm.
2. The show is virtual again this year (on zoom)!

• Talent Show student MC (host) job description and responsibilities:
  
  • Description:
    • Help to host the Talent Show with Mr. Valley Charter live on zoom on December 8th from 6-8pm.
    • Help to create a fun and school-spirited atmosphere at the Talent Show and encourage the audience to support the performers. 
  • Responsibilities:
    • Introduce video segments during the live zoom show.
    • Help to write and then memorize a few lines for the show (we will help!).
      • Lines can be pre-recorded, or done live during the show.
    • Students will have practice zooms scheduled with Rebecca Avery and Jennifer Bennett (the Talent Show director) in advance of the show.
    • If students would like to be “live” during the show, they need to be able to be somewhere with a good internet connection.  We can help if internet connectivity is an issue at your house, just let us know.
    • Attend (on zoom) tech and dress rehearsal on December 7th from 6-8pm.
    • On zoom, ready for the show, by 5:30pm on December 8th.
    • Check your email regularly if you are a middle schooler. 

• Talent Show commercial actor job description and responsibilities:
  • Description:
    • Act in short, pre-recorded "commercials" for Talent Show raffle prizes. 
      • There are 4-5 raffle prizes to give away during the show, and we are looking for interested students to perform in "commercials" for these prizes during the show to let the audience know what they can win for donating.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Memorize a short script. 
    • Students can film the commercials themselves, OR be filmed at school during school hours.
    • Students will perform in pairs for these commercials.
    • All commercials will be pre-recorded.

• Host and commercial actor sign up forms are in school offices and 5th grade classrooms. 
• Students and parents will be contacted with more information upon sign up.

  • Sign ups are only open to 5th grade and above.
