Substance abuse education and prevention for parents and students 

VCMS worked with the Hazeldon Betty Ford Clinic Prevention Solutions to present workshops On November 14th to support parents and caregivers with substance abuse prevention.  While the workshops were focused towards parents and caregivers of teens,  we are sharing the recordings of the workshops with the entire community because we think it is a helpful frame of reference for helping families and students better understand risk factors and prevention strategies for keeping our students healthy. Middle school students are engaging in age-appropriate Advisory conversations and will participate in a student workshop from Prevention Solutions on December 12th.
